Dr. Jie Zeng is the vice president of the Anhui University of Technology (AHUT), Chair Professor at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and PI of the Hefei National Laboratory for Physical Sciences at the Microscale (HFNL). He has been selected to 'National Science Fund for Distinguished Youth Scholars', 'National Ten Thousands Plan Leading Talents in Scientific and Technological Innovation' and 'Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC)'.
Dr. Jie Zeng was born in Shangcheng of Henan, China, in 1980. He studied applied chemistry at USTC (B.S., 2002) and received a Ph.D. in condensed matter physics under the tutelage of Prof. Jianguo Hou and Prof. Xiaoping Wang (2007). He worked with Prof. Younan Xia as a postdoctoral fellow at Washington University in St. Louis from 2008 to 2011 and was promoted to Research Assistant Professor in 2011. In 2012, he relocated to USTC to take the position of Professor for Chemistry in HFNL. He assumed the vice president of AHUT in November 2022. Up to now, he has published 245 papers in prestigious journals (Nature, Nat. Nanotechnol., Nat. Catal., Nat. Energy, Nat. Commun., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Mater., Nano Lett., Acc. Chem. Res., Acc. Mater. Res., Chem. Rev., Chem. Soc. Rev., Chem, etc.), 5 invited books, and 85 patents.
